CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM

NIEW has been organising programmes on training and capacity building for NAM Member Countries in critical areas which have been identified as crucial to the empowerment of women such as Women in Politics and Economy, Women in Education and ICT Women in Health and Violence Against Women.

WOMEN DIRECTORS’ PROGRAM

The session was organized by NAM Institute for the Empowerment for Women (NIEW), Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development and fully funded by the Government of Malaysia. NIEW appointed Malaysian Directors Academy (MINDA) to conduct the training and about three (3) expert trainers in the field of Corporate Governance, Financial Language in the Boardroom and Risk Management and Internal Control were invited to conduct the training.

THE 30% AGENDA

The 30% Club is a group of chairmen and business leaders who are committed to bringing more women onto Malaysian corporate boards. The purpose of the 30% Club is to raise awareness among chairmen and business leaders of the benefits of gender diversity, inspire debate and discussion and support initiatives to build the pipeline of women in executive and non-executive roles.
